On September 15, 2023, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized the academic seminar series “MUICT-AST The Series for Mahidol People: Introduction to Docker”. On this occasion, Dr. Ittipon Rassameeroj, Assistant Dean for Infrastructure and Technology, served as the speaker. He provided fundamental knowledge about Container technology and Docker to Mahidol University staff and students. The seminar took place in the MAI2, ICT Building, Mahidol University, as well as online via Webex Meetings.
The objective of the “MUICT-AST The Series for Mahidol People: Introduction to Docker,” was to impart knowledge about the basics of Container technology and the Docker software platform. The seminar covered topics such as Docker’s principles, key components, basic installation, essential Docker commands, container deployment, Docker image management, Dockerfile creation, port exposure, networking and volumes management, and basic knowledge of Docker Compose and Docker Swarm. This knowledge will equip participants to efficiently apply Docker software in their work.
