On January 29, 2024, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology at Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), together with Dr. Pawitra Liamruk, Program Chair of B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology, as well as Asst. Prof. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development, Dr. Ittipon Rassameeroj, Assistant Dean for Infrastructure and Technology, as well as the Program Committee: Asst. Prof. Dr. Morakot Choetkiertikul, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Akara Supratak, warmly welcomed the Assessor Committee from the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance Assessor Team (AUN-QA). On this occasion, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University, addressed an opening remark at the Prince Mahidol Hall, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The 373rd iteration of the AUN-QA Assessment was held from January 29 to 31, 2024. Four programs at Mahidol University underwent assessment, namely: Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program), in the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology; Doctor of Dental Surgery Program (International Program), in the Faculty of Dentistry; Bachelor of Communication Arts Program in Media and Communication (International Program), at MUIC; and Bachelor of Nursing Science Program, in the Faculty of Nursing.
The assessment of the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology took place from January 29 to 30, 2024. On this occasion, the AUN-QA Committee, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eric Wibisono, Lead Assessor from the University of Surabaya, Indonesia, and Dr. Ronald V. Amorado, Assessor from the University of Mindanao, Philippines, were warmly welcomed by ICT Mahidol’s Dean, Curriculum Management Committee, executives, staff, current students, alumni, and graduate users in Rooms IT 404, IT 427, and the Bits & Bytes Hall on the 4th floor of the ICT Faculty, Mahidol University, Salaya.
In addition, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jarernsri Mitrpanont, Advisor to the Dean and Program Committee of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, participated in the closing ceremony of the 373rd iteration of the AUN-QA criteria to receive the assessment results, on January 31, 2024. On this occasion, Prof. Wachira Kochakarn, M.D., FACS, Vice President of Mahidol University, delivered a gratitude speech to the AUN-QA Assessment Committee, as well as to all instructors whose programs were assessed. The event took place at the Prince Mahidol Hall.
The ASEAN University Network (AUN) is a collaboration among higher education institutions in member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Its purpose is to establish an ASEAN identity and develop human resources by strengthening the network of universities and educational institutions. This collaboration plays a crucial role in helping achieve the goals of establishing an ASEAN community. The AUN-QA assessment aims to evaluate and create mechanisms for quality assurance and common educational standards among member universities in ASEAN.
