On January 5, 2024, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), in collaboration with Sriyapai School in Chumphon Province, organized a training program on “Enhancing ICT Skills for High School Students of Sriyapai School, Chumphon Province.” On this occasion, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean, delivered a warm welcome speech to the teachers and 59 students of Sriyapai School at the Innovative Space, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The event included various activities such as the training on “Basic with ChatGPT” by Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, and a tram sightseeing activity around Mahidol University, including a visit to the Sireeruckhachati Nature Learning Park. Additionally, students had the opportunity to explore the research laboratories within the ICT Building, such as the IoT Laboratory, Mahidol-Bremen Medical Informatics Research Unit (MIRU Lab), and a Smart Classroom. The activity concluded with an introduction to the B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and the B.Sc. in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program) at the MultimedEx Room, 4th floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The objective of this training was to promote and support the development of information technology skills among high school students beyond regular classroom learning. It aimed to enable students to apply the skills, knowledge, and experiences gained from the training to enhance their future learning. Additionally, the program sought to improve critical thinking processes systematically.
