On January 24, 2024 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized the “2nd Shop Chom Chim: Good Products from Khlong Mahasawat Community, and the Center for Assistance to Reintegration and Employment (CARE), Central Prison, Nakhon Pathom Province.” On this occasion, Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, as the representative of the Dean, gave a warm welcome speech to all participants at the Innovative Space, 1st floor, Mahidol University, Salaya.
During the event, several booths showcased many products including rice crackers, products from Ban Sala Din, fresh fruits from Uncle Boonleart’s Orchard, and ice cream from the Khlong Mahasawat community. Additionally, there were Macramé and Paper Mache products from the Center for Assistance to Reintegration and Employment (CARE), Central Prison, Nakhon Pathom Province. Moreover, various activities took place within the event, such as drawing on shirts, drawing on glass, and making Paper Mache.
This event is one of the activities under the Social Engagement project. This project focuses on providing academic services to apply information technology knowledge in community development through community participation processes. It aims to elevate communities towards self-management in the future, with the objective of exchanging knowledge and driving the university’s mission to engage with communities for mutual strengthening. Throughout the event, there is also publicity for OTOP (One Tambon One Product) goods from the Khlong Mahasawat community and products from the Center for Assistance to Reintegration and Employment (CARE), Central Prison, Nakhon Pathom Province.
