On August 23, 2023, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Mr. Yuttana Jeansamoot, the Acting Deputy Head of Engineering and Facilities, and Mr. Somsak Tanasri, the Acting Head of the Building and Landscape Unit, as the representatives of the Sustainable Development Goals working group, received the “MU Green Ranking 2022: Honorable Mention Certificate. This recognition was presented to the faculties, institutes, or departments within Mahidol University that successfully underwent the “Assessment of Sustainable Environmental Development Operations for Mahidol University, Year 2022” During this particular occasion, Assoc. Prof. Kitikorn Charmondusit, Ph.D., Vice President for Environment and Sustainable Development, presented the awards and certificates at the “Mahidol Academic Conference 2023: Driving Sustainable Development,” held at the Prince Mahidol Hall, Mahidol University.
The “Assessment of Sustainable Environmental Development Operations for Mahidol University, Year 2022” was organized by the Division of Physical Systems and Environment, Mahidol University. Its purpose was to encourage all faculties/institutes/departments within the University to manage resources sustainably and drive the university into the global sustainability rankings. Those faculties/institutes/departments within Mahidol University that received this award underwent assessment based on 7 environmental sustainability criteria, which include organization scores, raw material indicators, energy indicators, water indicators, waste indicators, building indicators, and greenhouse gas indicators.
