On 25 August 2021 – Asst. Prof. Dr. Boonsit Yimwadsana, Ph. D. in Computer Science and M. Sc. in Computer Science Programs Chair, together with Dr. Akara Supratak, Instructor, as representatives of the Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University, joined as witnesses in the Partnered PhD Agreement Signing Ceremony between Mahidol University and Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, via Zoom.

Swinburne University: Professor Pascale Quester, Vice Chancellor and President and executive team.Swinburne University of Technology and Mahidol University have entered an MoU to establish research linkage and collaboration between the two Universities in the fields of Medical Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Data Science, Engineering, and Materials Science.
The parties have decided to deepen the partnership through the development of a Partnered PhD Program which allows the two universities to admit and jointly supervise at least 5 PhD students per year. This mutually beneficial partnership will bring both parties a potential increase in the number of HDR enrolments, growth in research capacity and a substantial contribution to quality research output, research funding, joint publications and research rankings.
Once significant number of PhD students is achieved, the two parties will discuss the possibility of setting up a Joint Research Centre in Biomedical Technology.
