On 4 August 2021 – Dr. Pawitra Liamruk, Deputy Dean for Academic Administration, and Acting Deputy Dean for Organizational Communication and Engagement, together with Mr. Cheng-Chang Chien, English Instructor and Chinese Activities Leader organized an online activity, “International Students’ Information Session” for international freshmen of its B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology, via Webex Meetings.
The objectives of this activity were to inform essential information for international students such as courses registration, education conditions and criteria, prospective careers, life in University, as well as how to make friends with Thai students. Such information was conveyed in English by Dr. Pawitra Liamruk and was simultaneously being translated into Chinese language by Mr. Cheng-Chang Chien.
Additionally, Mr. Cheng-Chang Chien invited the Chinese students to join the “Chinese Study Buddy Program” in which Mr. Cheng-Chang Chien will teach Chinese language to Thai students. By joining this activity, both Thai and international students will be paired as a buddy in order to help them know each other better, as well as to exchange their cultures and languages. Lastly, before the session ended, a Q&A session was held by Dr. Pawitra Liamruk.
