On 7 November 2020, The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Mrs. Pagaporn Pengsart, Deputy Dean for Engineering and Systems, together with ICT Mahidol staff, joined the “the 52nd Physically Handicapped Day 2020”, held by the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand under Royal Patronage at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, Hall 5. On this occasion, Mr. Ampon Senanarong, officially endorsed by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, presided over the event, and gave a warm welcome speech to all participants.
The event was held in order to honor His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother, Her Majesty Queen Suthida, and all member of the royal family, and to provide opportunities for persons with disabilities to meet and exchange their experiences, as well as acquire reliable information on various aspects of disability prevention, rehabilitation and care.
During the event, ICT Mahidol team exhibited the “AphasiaTalk on Mobile”, an application which helps Aphasia patients improve their communication skills and the quality of their life.
The “AphasiaTalk application” has been co-developed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sudsanguan Ngamsuriyaroj, ICT Mahidol’s instructor, and Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University.
