On 11 May, 2022 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Dr. Siripen Pongpaichet, Assistant Dean of the Information Systems, together with Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean of the Research Development, organized an online training for approximately 160 teachers from Assumption Convent Silom School and Assumption Convent School. In addition, Miss Siriporn Rojanakosol, Assistant Dean and Mr. Patipat Chewprecha, Computer Technical Officer, served as teaching assistants. On this occasion, Sr. Ramonde Pisetsak, Director of Assumption Convent Silom School, addressed a warm welcome speech to all participants via Zoom Cloud Meeting.
The activity, “Introduction to Power BI”, was an activity under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which both parties have signed. The objectives of it were to prepare teachers and students from Assumption Convent Silom School and Assumption Convent School, to advance their knowledge and competence in information technology through a hands-on learning, to improve students’ abilities to international standards so that they are well-prepared for the 21st century and the ASEAN community, to foster academic collaboration in research, as well as to encourage positive relationships between the Faculty of ICT and the two schools.
The training, “Introduction to Power BI” focused on introducing the participants to Business Intelligence and Power BI Desktop, allowing them to be able to use Power BI tools in creating a report and finding insight data efficiently.
