On 23 November 2022 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized the “ICT Skills Development Program for Society: Surface Area of Reservoirs through the Eyes of Google Earth Engine”. On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ananta Srisuphab, Instructor, served as the keynote speaker to convey knowledge to staff and students of Mahidol University, as well as other interested people via Webex Meetings.
The theoretical and operational training, “ICT Skills Development Program for Society: Surface Area of Reservoirs through the Eyes of Google Earth Engine”, aimed to introduce all participants to the use of Google Earth Engine for studying the surface area of reservoirs from satellite imagery and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The data from Google Earth Engine aids in observing changes in catchment area size as a reservoir is built.
