On 25 February 2023 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized a special talk on “Furukawa Cablink System” for the 2nd year students enrolled in B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and other interested students. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitinan Tantidham, ICT Mahidol instructors welcomed guest speakers from Furukawa Electric Communications Southeast Asia Ltd.: Mr. Eakarach Cheycheun, Technical & Engineering Support, Mr. Chatnanon Phongkiratikan, Technical & Engineering Support, Mr. Pornthep Suwanlertlum, Senior Manager, Sales & Marketing Department, Mr. Vasin Assavanichakorn, Sales Engineer, Sales & Marketing Department, and Mr. Kritsawat Waneesorn, Sales & Marketing Department, at Room IT103, the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya.
During the session, the speakers shared their knowledge on Network Systems, Standard Specification for Signal Cable; UTP, Cat5E, Cat6, and Cat6A Cabling Selection; Fiber Optic Selection for both Single mode and Multi-mode Usage with all students. Furthermore, a workshop on UTP Installation, and Optical Fiber Fusion Splicing was also held. At the end of the session, Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, delivered a thank you speech and presented souvenirs to the guest speakers.
