On 5 September 2022 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitinan Tantidham, as well as Dr. Songpon Teerakanok, instructors of ITDS231 Computer Networks and ITDS232 Computer Network Lab organized a special talk on “Furukawa Cabling System” for the 2nd year DST Thai Program students at Room IT334, 3rd floor, and Lab106, 1st floor, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The guest speakers from Furukawa Electric Communications Southeast Asia Ltd. were as follows:

- Chatnanon Phongkiratikan, Technical & Engineering Support
- Pornthep Suwanlertlum, Senior Manager, Sales & Marketing Department
- Vasin Assavanichakorn from Sales & Marketing Department
During the session, the guest speakers shared their knowledge of Network Systems, Standard Specification for Signal Cable, UTP Cabling Selection, Fiber Optic Selection for both Single mode and Multi-mode Usage with all students. Furthermore, a workshop on UTP Installation, and Optical Fiber Fusion Splicing was also held.
