On November 8, 2023 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Thitinan Tantidham, and Asst. Dr. Dolvara Guna-Tilaka, instructors of the course, ITDS331 Embedded and Cyber-Physical Systems, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sudsanguan Ngamsuriyaroj, Advisor to the Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, led the 3rd year students of B.Sc. in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program), in a study visit at Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd, located in the AMATA City Chonburi industrial estate, Chonburi Province. On this occasion, the ICT Mahidol group was welcomed by the company’s staff. Subsequently, they were given a tour of the company and introduced to the company’s IT department.
The purpose of this study visit was to provide students with an opportunity to learn about information technology and the use of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) systems in industrial factories. It also aimed to enhance and develop their skills in digital science and technology, as well as other skills related to real-world applications and learning from professionals in the field.
