On 4 August 2022 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) and Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST) organized the online “NAIST internship 2022 Final Presentation” for the students who have joined the internship program via NAIST Virtual Office on oVice. On this occasion, supervisors from both ICT Mahidol as well as NAIST also attended the session: ICT Mahidol side: Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanwadee Sunetnanta, Dr. Morakot Choetkiertikul, and Dr. Chaiyong Ragkhtiwetsagul, ICT Mahidol instructors; NAIST side: Prof. Kenichi Matsumoto, Assoc. Prof. Takashi Ishio, Asst. Prof. Raula G. Kula, and Asst. Prof. Bodin Chinthanet.
For several years, the Faculty of ICT has offered this summer internship opportunity for ICT students with strong connections with the Software Engineering research group at NAIST. This year, the summer internship occurred from 4 June to 8 August 2022 at Software Engineering Laboratory, NAIST, Japan. Two undergraduate students, Miss Tasha Settewong and Mr. Natanon Ritta, physically join the internship to conduct research at the software engineering research lab at NAIST.
During the session, the students presented the following projects to their supervisors:
- “Understanding how visualizations are used in programming contests” by Miss Tasha Settewong, 4thyear student, Software Engineering Track
- “Do competitors reuse code in their competition?” by Mr. Natanon Ritta, 4thyear student, Software Engineering Track
There was also a Q&A session after each student’s presentation, where supervisors from
both sides asked questions and addressed complementary speech to all students for their hard work and dedication during their projects.
