From August 29th to 30th, 2023 – Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), attended the “16th China – ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW)” with the theme “New Vision for Education Cooperation, Common Prosperity for Belt and Road,” held from August 28th to September 2nd, 2023, in the People’s Republic of China. The conference brought together government officials, educational institution leaders, researchers, and scholars from both the People’s Republic of China and ASEAN member countries.
On August 29th, 2023, the opening ceremony of the “16th China – ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW)” took place in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, the People’s Republic of China. During this ceremony, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University, delivered a guest speech to all participants.
On August 30th, 2023, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean of ICT Mahidol, participated in the China – ASEAN Industry-University-Research Collaboration Symposium on Sustainable Development. This conference was divided into two main topics: “Environment Safety and Sustainable Development in Agriculture,” organized by the School of Environmental Science & Engineering at Tianjin University, and “From Low Carbon to Neutral Cities – Widening the Contribution of Universities,” organized by the APEC Sustainable Energy Center. Additionally, he participated in the ACNET-EngTech network meeting, hosted by Dalian University of Technology as the Rotating President.
The China – ASEAN Industry-University-Research Collaboration Symposium on Sustainable Development was a part of the activities within the China – ASEAN Education Cooperation Week. Its purpose was to provide opportunities for scholars from universities in the ASEAN region and the People’s Republic of China to exchange knowledge, learn about various conference topics, and collaborate on academic and research matters in related fields.
