On July 27, 2023, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), held an orientation ceremony for new undergraduate students for the academic year 2023. The morning session was for new students of the Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program), and the afternoon session was for new students of the Bachelor of Science in Digital Science and Technology (DST Thai Program). During this event, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean, delivered a heartfelt welcome speech to all students via a video message. He extended his best wishes, encouraging them to pursue their academic aspirations and aspire to become future IT professionals dedicated to serving the nation.
Following that, Dr. Pawitra Liamruk, Program Chair of ICT International Program, as well as Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sudsanguan Ngamsuriyaroj, Program Chair of DST Thai Program provided advice on academics, systems, and important information that students need to know. Respectively, Asst. Dr. Jidapa Kraisangka, Assistant Dean for Academic and Curriculum Development, as the Vice Chair of the Student Activity Committee, gave information on disciplines and student conducts to all students. Finally, the Head Student MUICT Leads welcomed the new students and introduced the services, as well as physical and mental well-being welfare provided by the MU Friends & MU Health to all students. The event took place at the Grand Auditorium Hall, 4th floor, the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus.
The orientation ceremony for new undergraduate students for the academic year 2023 aimed to provide important and necessary information to all new students. Additionally, it served to foster positive relationships among the new students, faculty members, and staff of the Faculty of ICT.
