On March 29, 2023, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vasaka Visoottiviseth, Program Chair of M.Sc. in Cyber Security and Information Assurance, along with instructors: Dr. Assadarat Khurat, and Dr. Dolvara Guna-Tilaka, led a group of students consisting of 1st to 3rd year B.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT International Program) and Master students in Cyber Security and Information Assurance from ICT Mahidol on a study visit to the Bank of Thailand (BOT). On this occasion, Ms. Sudarat Kijsipong, Senior Director, Information Technology Department, welcomed the ICT Mahidol instructors and students. Following that, Ms. Pimpatra Kayansumruaj, Assistant Director, Information Technology Strategy Team, introduced the overall information of BOT to all participants.
After that, staff of BOT gave presentations on the following topics:
- Payment Technology & CBDC by Mr. Pisak Kurusathian, Deputy Director, Payment System Division
- Data Technology by Mr. Panu Kampanakorn, Assistant Director, Financial Institutions Information System Development Team
- Infrastructure Technology & Data Center by Mr. Nattawut Tipkanok, Deputy Director, Technology Management, and Mr. Yutthakit Chommanee, Deputy Director of Computer Center Management Division
- Cyber Security by Ms. Salisa Viphusiri, Assistant Director, Office of Security Management, and Mr. Sarun Puttikajorn, Assistant Director, Office of Security Management
Additionally, the ICT Mahidol group visited the Data Center and Office Space, where the Computer Center team and Information Technology Strategy team welcomed and showed them around. They also received information about internships and employment opportunities from the Human Resources and Organizational Development Department. Following that, ICT Alumni shared experiences of working at the Bank of Thailand with them. At the end of the visit, Mr. Ed Yampratoom, Director, Information Technology Planning Office, delivered a thank you speech to the ICT Mahidol group at the Auditorium, Building 1, Bank of Thailand.
