On 22 November 2022 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), together with its collaborative partners under the project “Center of Excellence in AI-Based Medical Diagnosis (AI-MD)”, organized Mahidol AI Talk #2. On this occasion, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, ICT Mahidol Dean addressed a warm welcome speech and an opening speech to all participants. In addition, Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer addressed the objectives of the seminar at Room AI 2, ICT Building, Salaya Campus, as well as via Webex Meetings.
During the session, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jaturong Pratuangdejkul, Head of Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, was the guest speaker on “Breaking Bottlenecks in Drug Discovery and Development Processes by In Silico and AI Technologies”. Following that, Asst. Prof. Duangrudee Tanramluk, Instructor in Molecular Medical Biosciences Group Institute of Molecular Biosciences, Mahidol University, gave a special talk on “MANORAA: A Machine Learning Platform for Drug Discovery” for MU’s instructors, students, staff and interested people. Furthermore, Asst. Prof. Dr. Puey Ounjai, Instructor, Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, served as the moderator during the seminar session on the “Application of AI and Machine Learning Platform.
The “Mahidol AI Talk Series” seminar was a collaboration project between Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) and collaborative partners under the project “Center of Excellence in AI-Based Medical Diagnosis (AI-MD),” which is supported by the Reinventing University System.
