On July 12, 2023 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized a hands-on training program titled “Advanced AI for Drug Discovery: from Experience to Practice”. The training commenced with an opening speech by Lect. Pagaporn Pengsart, Deputy Dean for Infrastructure and Technology. Additionally, Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, served as the MC during the training where Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duangdao Wichadakul, a faculty member of the Computer Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, delivered a lecture to all attendees. The lecture focused on utilizing various tools such as Colab alphafold and a demo within MU’s Server, Autodock vina GPU, Deep learning models for drug discovery, AiDRA, a software platform for drug discovery. A total of 20 staff and students from both Mahidol University and Chulalongkorn University attended the event in the Computer Laboratory, 1st floor, the Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University.
The training program “Advanced AI for Drug Discovery: from Experience to Practice” was a collaboration project between Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol) and collaborative partners under the project “Center of Excellence in AI-Based Medical Diagnosis (AI-MD),” which is supported by the Reinventing University System.
