On December 7, 2023, Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, the Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), represented the Council of University Presidents of Thailand to participate in the panel discussion on the topics “AI in Medicine: AI’s Role in Addressing Healthcare Challenges” and “AI Engineering Education: Shaping Responsible AI for Society & Sustainability” at the “AI Engineering & Innovation Summit 2023.” On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Surakiart Sathirathai, Chairman of Board of Trustees of CMKL University, delivered an opening remark to all participants at True Digital Park Grand Hall, 3rd floor.
The “AI Engineering & Innovation Summit 2023” took place from December 7 to 8, 2023, organized by CMKL University under the theme “Unlocking AI Engineering’s Potential for a Responsible AI Future.” The objective was to showcase the potential collaboration among Thailand’s 5 leading educational institutions: King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Mahidol University, Chiang Mai University, Prince of Songkla University, and Khon Kaen University, as well as various industries and government agencies. Together, they discussed the development of Artificial Intelligence Engineering (AI Engineering) and its application for the future economic and societal development of the country. The event provided a platform for educational institutions within the network to demonstrate the full potential of AI Engineering to the public efficiently.
