On April 27, 2023 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Boonsit Yimwadsana, Instructor, as the representative of the dean, together with Mahidol University, hosted the “2022 ACNET-EngTech General Assembly”. On this occasion, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, President of Mahidol University and as the President from ASEAN-side, gave a welcomed speech to the members of the ACNET-EngTech network. During the event, Dr. Pisit Praiwattana, Assistant Dean for Organizational Communications and Media Technology, as well as Dr. Tipajin Thaipisutikul, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, served as the MC for this event. The event was held via Zoom Meetings from the Grand Auditorium, ICT Building, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The ACNET-EngTech network, or ASEAN-China Network for Cooperation and Exchange among Engineering and Technology, is an academic, education and research collaborative conference among leading universities from the People’s Republic of China in the Excellence 9 (E9) group and 12 universities in ASEAN, and an additional 3 observer universities. The purpose of this meeting is to promote academic and research cooperation and provide opportunities for students from various universities to enhance their learning experiences through educational exchanges.
Additionally, Asst. Prof. Dr. Boonsit Yimwadsana, ICT Mahidol Instructor, presented the 2022 work report and 2023 work plan to the members of the ACNET-EngTech network. Moreover, membership acceptance session and collaboration discussion were held respectively. The ACNET-EngTech network will host the next meeting at Dalian University of Technology in the People’s Republic of China, where it will serve as the rotating president.
