ICT Mahidol instructors and students presented their research projects in “Invention and Innovation Contest, fiscal year 2024”

On August 24, 2023 – instructors and students of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), presented their research projects in the “Invention and Innovation Contest, fiscal year 2024” organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI). The event was held at the Field Marshal Sarit Thanarat Conference Room, 1st floor, NRCT Building 1, and central hall, 1st floor, NRCT Building 4.

The list of the research projects is as follows:

  • A research project from the Machine Vision and Information Transfer Lab (MVIT): “FunnyCV: Computer Vision Based Interactive Application to Improve Eye-Hand Coordination Skill in Occupational Therapy” by Prof. Dr. Worapan Kusakunniran, ICT Mahidol Instructor and Head of Machine Vision and Information Transfer Research Lab (MVIT Lab), together with Mr. Donlawat Sasawattecha, Mr. Pantakorn Sathapanasakul, as well as Mr. Akkarapong Sirilertsoontorn, 4th year students in the ICT International Program.
  • “CAMELON: Crime and Accident Monitoring and Estimation from Large-scale Online News Articles” by Dr. Siripen Pongpaichet, Assistant Dean for Information and Systems, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suppawong Tuarob, Instructor, Dr. Thanapon Noraset, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Mr. Kantapong Matangkarat, Mr. Chancheep Mahacharoensuk, as well as Mr. Pattadon Singhajan, 4th year students in the ICT International Program.
