On 8 August, 2020 – Students of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), won 4 prizes from the 22nd National Software Contest (NSC 2020). The competition aims to encourage software development among students in order to develop their programming skills which are fundamental and critical skills for developing software industry in the near future.
A total of 136 teams of competitors participated in this competition.
4 teams from ICT Mahidol won 4 prizes as follows:
The 2nd prize under the categories of Programs for science and technology development: “RB-Pro: Potential Active Compounds Screening and Prediction for RB Patients using Precision Medicine”, conducted by Mr. Puttawit Srianuwatphong, Mr. Apakorn Kengkanna, and Miss Warisa Kittisupakul, under supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jarernsri L. Mitrpanont.
The 3rd prize under the categories of Programs for learning skill development: “Virtual Alto Xylophone Trainer”, conducted by Mr. Atthakul Chanthong, Mr. Witchapon Intarapan, and Mr. Thanut Promsuk, under supervision of Dr. Mores Prachyabrued.
The 3rd prize under the special categories, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Application: “Orchidator: An intelligent orchids recognition system using deep learning”, conducted by Miss Kadesuda Tantisereerat, Miss Pimpisut Kewsuwan, and Miss Natnaree Sornkongdang, under supervision of Dr. Wudhichart Sawangphol.
Honorable mention prize under the special categories, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Application: “Parent Guard: Automatic Detection of Abusive Thai Behaviors in Large-Scale Social Media Networks using Semi-Supervised Learning”, conducted by Miss Sakunrat Nunthavanich, Mr. Pochara Sangtunchai, and Miss Manisa Satravisut, under supervision of Dr. Thanapon Noraset.
